Once you’ve connected your DStv Explora to the internet in your home, you need to switch the feature “On” (to do this, press the blue DStv button, select “Settings”, select “User Preferences”, select “Connected Services” and set DStv Catch Up Plus to “On”).
To access DStv Catch Up Plus, press CATCH UP (you’ll go to the usual DStv Catch Up screen), then press CATCH UP again to switch to DStv Catch Up Plus. (The catalogue needs a few minutes to download once you’ve connected your DStv Explora to the internet).
You can now browse hundreds of additional titles available for download.
To download a programme, press OK and select “Download”. The programme is now added to the download queue and once fully downloaded, it’s immediately available for viewing – just go to the “Downloaded” section of DStv Catch Up Plus.
Like all the other recorded content on your DStv Explora, if you stop watching the programme, and come back to it later, you can easily resume from where you left off. Parental Control rules are also applied to this programming and a valid PG PIN must be entered before any PG-blocked programmes can be viewed.
Once you’ve watched the programme, you can delete it (or you can leave it to be automatically deleted when it expires). However, as there’d a limit of 25 downloaded DStv Catch Up Plus programmes at any one time, we recommend you delete a show once you’ve watched it, to make space for more downloads.
This is the “normal” DStv Catch Up Screen. Press CATCH UP again to go to DStv Catch Up Plus
If you have not yet connected your DStv Explora to the internet, or if the catalogue has not yet downloaded, this is the screen you’ll see when going to DStv Catch Up Plus.
If you have connected your DStv Explora to the internet and the catalogue has downloaded and there is no downloaded content, this is the screen you’ll see when going to DStv Catch Up Plus.
If you have connected your DStv Explora to the internet and the catalogue has downloaded AND you have downloaded content, this is the screen you’ll see when going to DStv Catch Up Plus.
